East Yorkshire locally trained dancer Frances began dancing at the age of 3 at the LWHS School of Dance. As a child she competed successfully in various competitions and was a York Scholar and member of Phoenix youth in Leeds.
At 15, she was offered a place at Northern School of Contemporary Dance on the foundation course, followed by a 3-year degree course, which resulted in an Honours Degree in Performing arts. She then went on to work with Phoenix Dance Theatre touring nationally and internationally.
She has worked with renowned choreographers Sharon Watson, Tamsin Fitsgerald, Christopher Bruce, Bawren Tavaziva and several others.
Choreographically she has had many pieces recognised resulting in participation at Fresh and performances at York theatre Royal.
She has been professionally choreographing since she was 14 having numerous pieces performed around the country winning awards.
Frances has been teaching for over 10 years for various ages, levels and styles. Some of the classes and courses include Phoenix Youth, West End Kids, Ballet Boost Associates, Wyke College and St Mary's College. Frances hopes to continue to expand her knowledge.
